My Nephew Thinks He's a Poet
September 1, 2026 at 8:00 PM
Dalles Hall Bucharest
An emotional and sensitive comedy, dedicated to Romanian cultural values, literature, and poetry, the performance "“My Nephew Thinks He's a Poet” blends humor, emotion, and reflection, offering the audience a memorable artistic experience. On stage, you will be able to watch the beloved actress Magda Catone, the wonderfully talented young man Rareș Prisacariu, alongside a remarkable cast consisting of Anda Sârbei, Mihai Bercaru, Alecsandru Dunaev, Petru Cioacă, and Nil Mladin, who bring to life a sensitive and current text.
It is a manifesto-theater show, which advocates in a particularly pleasant way, in the specific genre of theater comedy, for Romanian national values, for Romanian literature and poetry.
The passages interpreting poems written by Mihai Eminescu or Marin Sorescu are particularly moving, and the performance of the child prodigy, Rareș Prisacariu, was long applauded by the public, in all performances across the country. Actress Magda Catone punctuates the comedy moments of the show, with the strength of an actor with great public success, based on a text that highlights her exceptional interpretive qualities. Young actors Alecsandru Dunaev, Mihai Bercaru and actress Anda Sârbei wonderfully complete the comic and emotional energy of the show. Pianist Nil Mladin and Petru Cioaca perform live on stage the musical pieces that accompany the play's dramaturgy, with classical music, cabaret, and their own compositions. A cohesive team in this year's tour shows and a memorable, powerful, and inspirational theatrical experience for the audience.
