Rodica Mandache, Marius Bodochi and Alin Aranovici bring to life a story in which theater, love, and pride meet in a fascinating game of words.
„Dear Liar” follows the relationship between the great playwright George Bernard Shaw and the famous actress Stella Campbell, a relationship built on passion, intelligence, irony, jealousy, and challenges. A bond that would even influence the birth of one of the most famous characters in theater: Eliza Doolittle from „Pygmalion”, a role written by Shaw with Stella Campbell in mind.
Interpreted by Rodica Mandache and Marius Bodochi, this story becomes a scenic duel full of humor, tenderness, and tension, in which each line hides a confession, and each silence says more than a speech.
Alin Aranovici completes the universe of the performance, bringing a perspective that amplifies the interplay between reality, theater, and imagination.
Under the direction, stage adaptation, and scenographic conception by Diana Mihailopol, the correspondence between the two artists transforms into a living story about two personalities who failed to be together, but who never stopped searching for each other.
