The celebrated artist Maia Morgenstern takes the stage alongside her son, Tudor Aaron Istodor, in a production that has achieved success on every stage it has been performed. "Final Tango" is the first play in which the two, mother and son, meet on the same stage.
The play "Final Tango" by Mario Diament presents a life story, the story of an actress, once a great star. The main characters are Valeria Durand and Diego.
She - is an actress who experienced success in her youth, success achieved through many sacrifices and compromises, but her films were enjoyed by many spectators. She suddenly disappears from public life when journalists reveal less favorable things about her (abandoning her own child at birth).
He – a young journalist who, in order to obtain an exclusive interview, uses all the tricks typical of the profession, and even claims to have grown up with Valeria Durand's films. The interview unfolds like a game, predator – prey, like a tango, a balance between dominating and being dominated.
What for Diego represents a perfect and attractive subject for the front page of the newspaper, for Valeria represents a drama, having to relive difficult moments from the past. The reason why the bombshell subject does not make it to the front page, I do not want to reveal to you. You will discover it for yourselves, and you will decide for yourselves whether you approve of Valeria's gesture or not.
