The National Festival of Satire and Humor "At the Gates of Laughter" – 9th edition, 2026
Every year, the municipality of Drobeta Turnu Severin becomes an important meeting point for lovers of Romanian satire and humor, hosting the National Festival of Satire and Humor «At the Gates of Laughter». The event brings together amateur performers and troupes from all over the country, alongside established artists and professionals, offering a framework for promoting and valuing Romanian humorous creation.
Throughout the previous editions, the Festival has brought together numerous prominent personalities of the Romanian humor and theater scene, as well as established humor troupes from all over the country. Among the guests who have contributed to the prestige of the event are Dorel Vișan, Florin Zamfirescu, Jean Paler, the "Vouă" Group, Cornel Udrea, Constantin Fugasin, "Fără Zahăr", Doinița Oancea, and many others.
The guests of the 9th edition are:

• "Imago" Humor Group - CCS Cluj-Napoca
• Albertta Bădeț - book launch "It's Not Just a Story"
The event will be presented by Cortina Theater, and the festival coordination is ensured by Constantin Badeț, director of the National Festival of Satire and Humor „At the Gates of Laughter".
