The National Opera and Ballet Theatre "Oleg Danovski" Constanța invites the public to an explosion of dynamism, dance, and humor in "The Gypsy Baron"
The National Opera and Ballet Theatre „Oleg Danovski” Constanța continues the 2026–2027 season with a show full of color, rhythm, and energy: „The Gypsy Baron” by Johann Strauss, presented in a directed concert version.
The show will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 18:30, on the stage of The National College of Arts „Regina Maria” in Constanța, and offers the audience an encounter with the fascinating universe of Viennese operetta, in a production where music, voices, and theatrical elements blend into a dynamic and charming show.
„The Gypsy Baron” is one of the representative creations of Johann Strauss, known for the elegance of his melodies, for his Central European-inspired rhythms, and for his ability to transform the story into a true musical celebration.
The work combines moments of lyricism with scenes full of energy, dance, and humor, building a story in which love, freedom, honor, and destiny meet in a picturesque and spectacular universe.
