The "Oleg Danovski" National Opera and Ballet Theatre Constanța invites the public to "Boheme", a touching love story
The "Oleg Danovski" National Opera and Ballet Theatre Constanța continues the 2026–2027 season with one of the most moving and beloved masterpieces of the universal lyrical repertoire: "Boheme" by Giacomo Puccini.
The show will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, starting at 18:30, on the stage of "Regina Maria" National College of Arts in Constanța, and offers the public a meeting with one of the most sensitive love stories in the opera repertoire, in a universe dominated by youth, friendship, passion, and sacrifice.
„Boema” is the story of young artists who live every moment intensely, in a world where love and dreams intertwine with life's difficulties. At the heart of the opera is the relationship between Rodolfo and Mimì, a love story of disturbing beauty, marked by meetings, partings, hope, and sacrifice. Inspired by the novel „Scènes de la vie de bohème” by Henri Murger, Giacomo Puccini’s opera impresses with its emotional force and extraordinarily sensitive music. The arias, which have become emblematic of the lyrical repertoire, build an intimate and profoundly human atmosphere, in which joy and sadness follow each other naturally.
At the conductor's podium will be Cristian Sandu – Cluj, who will lead the Orchestra and Choir of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre „Oleg Danovski” Constanța. The cast brings together acclaimed lyrical artists and young performers, in a scenic arrangement dedicated to one of the most famous creations of the Puccini repertoire: Răzvan Săraru, Nicoleta Ardelean, Cristian Caragea, Marius Eftimie, Mihai Teodoru, Silvia Simionescu, Mircea Găvan, Eugen Florea – debut Cristian Parmac and Iulian Bratu.
By presenting the opera „La Bohème”, the National Opera and Ballet Theatre „Oleg Danovski” Constanța continues the series of major titles of the 2026–2027 season and reaffirms its mission to bring masterpieces of the universal lyrical repertoire to the Constanța audience.
„La Bohème” is a story about love and youth, about dreams and friendship, but especially about the fragility and beauty of life.
The National Opera and Ballet Theatre „Oleg Danovski” Constanța invites you to an evening where Puccini's music, the soloists' voices, and the dramatic force of the story come together in a performance of profound sensitivity.
