Sorin Zlat, the most awarded jazz artist in Romania, invites you on December 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM, to the extraordinary concert " A Jazzy Christmas", which will take place at the Ion Dacian Operetta and Musical Theater.
The concert " A Jazzy Christmas" - Sorin Zlat & Friends will include a Christmas-themed program with a selection of the most beloved carols from the national and international repertoire, which aims to bring the magic of the winter holidays into the hearts of the audience with jazz, pop, soul, funk and gospel rhythms and chords orchestrated in an original way by pianist and composer Sorin Zlat.
The musicians who will take part in this magical journey are important names who excel on the musical scene of jazz, pop and classical music: Mihaela Alexa, Irina Sârbu, Mădălina Coca, Andreea Petricean, Eva Nicolescu, Sergiu Ferat, Robert Patai, Tobi Ibitoye, Sebastian Mihai, Sorin Zlat Sr., Zoltan Andras and the Jazzappella Vocal Group. They will be accompanied by the Sorin Zlat Band composed of: Sorin Zlat - Piano & Keyboards, Marius Filip - Keyboards, Răzvan Trifan - Saxophone, Liviu Negru - Guitar, Harvis Cuni Padron - Trumpet, Antonio Paizon - Trombone, Lorin Lepadatu - saxophone, Seby Joo - bass, Iulian Nicolau – drums and Nicu Dumitrescu – percussion.
Sorin Zlat, the producer and musical director of this concert, holds in his record over 20 national and international awards and is one of the most representative jazz pianists of the new generation of Romanian artists, who in recent years has received distinctions such as the Grand Prize at the Jacksonville Florida Jazz Competition (2015), the Grand Prize at the Monaco Jazz Competition (2013), the Award for Best Jazz Musician, the Yamaha Artist Title, etc.
The concert program will include carols and Christmas songs, including "White Christmas", "Silent Night", "The Christmas Song", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Joy To The World ", "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" and many others.
A memorable Christmas holiday evening on jazzy rhythms is announced.
