Voices that sing for childhood: Romania and Wales united through music, for children in difficulty

Foundation Children in difficulty, the Sută la Sută Românesc Association and the Brașov Philharmonic invite you to an exceptional charity concert, held in the presence and under the high patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maria of Romania.

On September 12, 2025, starting at 7 PM, the "Voices for Childhood" concert will bring together on the same stage - the stage of the Patria Hall in Brașov - the prestigious Cantorion Pentalar choir from Wales, conducted by Mr. Geraint Williams and the Gymnasium Children's Choir of the Tudor Ciortea Brașov Vocational Music High School, conducted by Mrs. Professor Greavu Elena-Laura.

Soloists: soprano Adele O´Neill, baritone Andrew Jerram and the young violinist, only 8 years old, Andrei Lazăr.

Moderator and hostess: Veronica Costache

The rich repertoire will combine famous classical pieces, choral pieces from operas in Italian and English, with a few stirring accents from the traditional music of Wales, sung in Welsh.

As impressive as the music is, so is its story - because this music speaks of solidarity, friendship, generosity and responsibility. The concert takes place for charitable purposes - all proceeds are in favor of building Casa dintre Brazi CID, the current project of the Children in Difficulty Foundation. Casa dintre Brazi is the first respite-care center in Romania that addresses children with difficult diagnoses from disadvantaged families.
