More Pacala than Tandala
We await you at a super show, an adventure full of good cheer, in which you will find texts adapted from the writings of Ion Luca Caragiale, Ion Creangă, Ioan Slavici, Costache Negruzzi, and Petre Dulfu.
Through the story of the two jokers, Păcală and Tândală, the little ones enter a purely Romanian universe and discover an archaic world, unknown to them, through the humor specific to country life, traditional folk songs, and expressions. The message of the show is that, through wit, ingenuity, and humor, any problem can be solved – this is how our heroes achieve everything they set out to do.
"More Păcală than Tândală" is a carousel of songs, dances, sayings, and jokes, all so ingrained in our collective memory that even the younger generation of children can recognize some of the elements that create the rural universe of the two mischievous characters.
The action takes place at the border between reality and the supernatural, in a space where fairy tales and legends are still kept alive: in the countryside. Among haystacks, with ritual masks, with music and celebration, a story is told around the fire by some fantastic characters from another realm.
Minimum recommended age: 5 years
This show is a production of the Ambassador Musical Theatre, the only theatre for children and youth under the tutelage of the Ministry of Culture.
