A concert that brings together the charm of the Romanian village and the atmosphere of the old neighborhoods, where the lăutari told stories in song.
Old Lăutărie and Romanian folklore come to life in an interpretation full of improvisation and musical dialogue, with accents from classical music, jazz, blues and Latin sounds.
At the center of the evening is Jezebel (Izabela Barbu), an artist with a crossover voice of over four octaves and a magnetic stage presence. Her repertoire crosses diverse musical worlds – from Romanian folklore to tango, interwar Romanian music, chanson, fado, jazz, classical music, old Cuban music and Mexican folklore.
