Being part of a family means smiling all the time in group photos. But what happens when your smile disappears and one of the family members is not present at the group portrait? “Anti-family portrait” invites you into the Niculescu family's living room, where the walls of the parental home hide secrets that no one knows in their entirety and everyone wants something from the other. The policeman, the cheated woman, the deceived husband, the lazy pianist, the yogi corporate woman, the activist-influencer and the father, the great absentee, around whom a funny-bitter story unfolds, of the type Woody Allen met Caragiale and had a beer. With humor, irony and cynicism, they all try to unravel the seemingly so complicated past to simplify the present and show what a family actually means.
