WE ARE LUCKY!
The comedy written by NICOLE DUTU is the best Romanian comedy text written in Romania after 1989. A text that is reminiscent of both Caragiale and Musatescu, without any imitation, which has the quality of compiling the best styles of writing comedy from Romanian dramaturgy.
In a family from Iasi, lives a small provincial politician, Napoleon Piciorus, bankrupt, beardless, stupid and innocent. The Party, the “system”, chooses him, for his naivety, to be the “hero” of the party's interests and those of the established crooks at the head of the party.
The political games of an absolute comic flavor are counteracted by Napoleon Piciorus's mother-in-law, interpreted MASTERFULLY AND EXPLOSIVELY by the extraordinary CARMEN TANASE.
Young girls are also absorbed into this fantastic world of power and money, completing a picture of total comedy!
