Our story takes place in the summer, in Santa Claus's workshop, where gnomes, elves, and fairies are busy making toys that will be given to children next winter by Santa Claus. While Santa is relaxing by the pool, the toys go on strike, unhappy with how the children treat them, and refuse to leave the workshop.
To calm them down, Santa finds a way to give them, the toys, a gift of some children, so that they can see that there are many good and beautiful children with whom it is a joy to play. At the same time, the children realize how important books are and what great joy it is to read stories from them. The main message of the show is the call for the little ones to get closer to reading, because only through culture will they become "grown-ups".
The Christmas of Toys is an original show for children, a comedy written by one of the best Romanian science fiction writers, Dan Doboș. It became a musical with the original compositions of Adrian Daminescu, which made this comedy a musical show full of harmony, color and humor, with a very beautiful message - that the little ones should start reading more. " - Daniela Nane, director.
The minimum recommended age for this show is 5 years old.
"The Christmas of Toys" is a production of the Ambasadorii Musical Theatre, the only theatre for children and youth under the tutelage of the Ministry of Culture, which this year celebrates 5 years since its establishment.
